I am a big admirer of table tennis. I've been watching competitions for years now. I follow news, I have my favourite players, but I've never played the game myself. More than that, I've never held a table tennis bat.

At first sight, playing this game is as easy as ABC. What you have to do is to hit the ball over the net to hit the other person's side of the table so that they wouldn't return it. Sometimes I also think it's a piece of cake, sometimes I understand it's nowhere near as easy as it seems. So I'm dying to finally learn to pl game in order to understand how difficult easy it will be and whether I'll be capable o mastering it. Unfortunately, it's impossible to play this game wherever and whenever you are as there has to be a special table divided into two halves by a net, a bat consisting of a blade and two rubbers on either side, if you want to play professionally. Also, you need a small plastic ball which can be either orange or white.

So after I buy a table tennis bat and a set of balls, I'll be ready to start practising. Thank God, nowadays there are a number of ways to acquire any skills one might want. I already know that the best way to start off is pract bouncing and controlling the ball. There tons of exercises on the Internet. And th. what I can do on my own. Next, the odds are that I'll join a local table tennis club and a coach who will teach me important skills and strategies. Then I'll have to practice a lot until I can do everything without thinking much. Unfortunately, there are no shortcuts to excellence.

I'm sure that I'll benefit from this skill as it's absolutely different from all kinds of sport I've done to date. Besides, it is said to significantly improve eyesight and reaction. And I have to confess, I really want to beat my friend who keeps saying that all I can do is watch matches on TV.
