Q.1 Do you often see advertisements when you are on your phone or computer?
Ans-Yes, I see ads all the time on YouTube and social media. There are pop-ups and banners on almost every website, so it's hard to avoid them. I usually get ads about online shopping or travel, depending on what I've recently searched for. I think it's impossible to use the Internet without seeing ads these days.
Q.2 What kind of advertising do you like?
Ans-I like nostalgic ads that remind me of the past. They remind me of happy moments and family traditions that used to be shown on TV. I also enjoy emotional ads that show family values, because they feel more natural and real. This kind of advertising doesn't feel too pushy or fake, which I really appreciate.
Q.3 Do you see a lot of advertising on trains or other transport?
Ans-Yes, I often see posters and digital screens in metro stations. They usually promote new movies, concerts, or local brands, so it's hard not to notice them. Public transport is one of the main places where brands advertise, because a lot of people use it every day. Sometimes it actually makes the stations look more colourful and lively.
Q.4 Is there an advertisement that made an impression on you when you were a child?
Ans-Yes, I remember the Coca-Cola Christmas commercial with Santa Claus and the red trucks. It created a strong emotional connection because it always made me think of warmth and kindness. The music and visuals were unforgettable, especially the lights and the song. It became a symbol of childhood for me, and even now, I still feel nostalgic when I see it.
Q.5 How do you feel about advertisements?
Ans-Well, I hate ads as they've become simply unbearable. For example, there are magazines 200 pages long with only about 50, if that many, readable pages. I also hate it when I look for some information on the Net and constantly come across the pages where the content exists just to serve the marketing purposes or the most valuable information is buried under a heap of ads.
Q.6 Do you like advertisements?
Ans-I don't really like ads, so I just try to tune out. You know, you get used to ads being all around you and it's kind of like anything in your home, once it's been there for a while, you just stop paying your attention to it.
Q.7 Do you like advertisements on TV?
Ans-I actually ignore advertisements as much as I can as they are nothing more than just an annoyance between plot twists in my favourite TV shows and films, so I turn off the sound on TV during ads. I installed an AdBlocker on my browser because incessant pop-up ads used to distract my attention and slow down my surfing the Net, thus, making it next to impossible to actually enjoy the content on the page.
Q.8 Is there much advertising in your country?
Ans-Yeah, nowadays there seems to be no place beyond the reach of advertising. Ads plaster urban areas, interrupt TV shows and constantly pop up on the screen of a computer or smartphone.
Q.9 What are the different places where we see advertisements?
Ans-Oh, they seem to be plastering the whole city. Even in the most unlikely locations... We cannot even go to a bathroom in a cafe without being bombarded by marketing messages.
Q.10 What advertising do you have in your country?
Ans-Nowadays, there are numerous ways that companies use to target their audience. If you watch a football match, you are likely to see an example of corporate sponsorship. I mean a logo of some company on each player's T-shirt. There are also banner ads that clutter up the Internet. Finally, oftentimes you can see people distributing leaflets. And, of course, there are hoardings that literally plaster cities.
