34.Borrowing and lending things

Q.1 Have you ever borrowed books from others?

Ans-Well, plenty of times, actually. I adore reading but, regrettably, can't afford to buy every single book I want to read. So, borrowing books is a great chance for me not to let my reading habits be dictated by my budget.

Q.2 Do you mind if others borrow money from you?

Ans-I don't really mind if someone borrows money from me, as long as it's not a big amount. I always follow one simple rule. I never lend more than I'm ready to lose or give away. When you lend money, you should already accept that you might not get it back. Not because the person is dishonest, but because life just happens... people forget or run into problems. If it's a friend or someone close, I'll usually help, but I prefer to keep it small. I'd rather give a bit and stay on good terms than lend a lot and risk ruining the relationship. So yeah, I don't mind helping, but I'm careful about how much.

Q.3 Have you ever borrowed money from others?

Ans-Oh, unfortunately, I have, and not just once as it's the only way I know which can help me bridge cash flow shortfalls at the end of the month.

Q.4 Do you like to lend things to others?

Ans-Oh no, I don't. Lending things always makes me stressed and nervous as I have a fear that other people may damage them, which will make me upset and sour our relations.

Q.5 How do you feel when people don't return things they borrowed from you?

Ans-Well, I usually feel annoyed and dispirited in such situations as I hate when people break their promises or disappoint my expectations.
