In my country, one of the laws introduced in recent years is a smoking ban. It came into effect just a few years ago, which us pretty recent for a law. I think this ban is one of the smartest laws ever passed. You know , if someone chooses to damage their health, that's their right. I'm fine with that. But it's not fair for non-smokers to inhale tobacco smoke against their will just because smokers feel like lighting up wherever they please. So I'm happy that this ban keeps non-smokers away from secondhand smoke, which prevents a range of health issues like respiratory diseases, nausea, and headaches. It has also helped discourage smoking in general . Kids tend to copy what they see adults doing, so the less they see people smoking in public, the lower the chances they'll pick up the habit themselves. All in all its a law that has done a lot of good. But I would take this law even further. I believe there should be stricter fines for littering cigarette butts, since many smokers still toss them on the ground without a second thought. Cigarette butts, since many smokers still loss them on ground without a second thought. Cigarette butts are non- biodegradable , and they pollute the soil, clog water systems, and leach dangerous chemicals into the environment. If the government really wants to tackle smoking- related problems, they should address this issue as well.
