37.Teaching and learning

Q1- which age group is the best at learning new things?

ANS- I believe children especially those between 5 and 12 years old are the best at learning new things. At the age , their brains are more flexible, which means they can absorb information much faster than adults. They pick up new languages, skills and habits almost effortlessly. Also, they're naturally curious and open-minded, so they enjoy exploring new topics. Of course, they might not understand complex ideas like adults, but when it comes to learning through play or experience, they're really quick. Adults often overthink or hesitate, but kids just try without fear. So, for me, children are the most effective learners, especially in areas like languages or creative tasks. Their ability to learn is truly impressive.

Q2-what can be done to improve modern teaching methods?

ANS- Well, i think one of the easiest ways to make teaching is just to give students more feedback. Not like once at the end of the term, but more often, so they actually know how they're doing. When teachers explain what went wrong and how to fix it, students don't feel lost or frustrated. It also shows that the teacher really cares, which makes a big difference. I think people learn better when they feel supported and not judged . And honestly, even small comments, can help a lot, like good point or try this next time. So yeah, regular feedback can totally change the way students learn.

Q3-what are the differences between online and face to face teaching?

ANS- Well, there are quite a few differences between online and face to face teaching, to my mind. First of all, the way people interact is really different. In a real classroom, it's easier to talk, ask questions, and feel more connected. Online lessons can feel a bit distant sometimes. Also, l earning from home gives more freedom. You don't need to travel, and some students like working at their own pace. But at the same time, it's easier to get distracted or feel unmotivated. Another thing is technical problems. If the internet goes down, the whole lesson is affected. And for subjects like science or art, it's just better to be there in person, where you can actually do things, but they definitely feel very different.

Q4-which do you think is more important, practical skills or academic skills?

ANS- Well, practical skills undoubtedly as they add significant value to a person's candidacy and are a must have for today's job seekers. It's not enough to have academic qualifications for those who want to succeed nowadays as it is practical skills that let people manage the activities for everyday life effectively. It's absolutely impossible to function in the real world without a set of necessary practical skills such as communication or problem solving skills. Moreover, its, not enough to know what to do if something stops working or goes wrong. What is really important when some challenges come up at work or at home is to have skills which will help people face up to these challenges and achieve the desired goals first.

Q5- Should teachers make lessons fun?

ANS- Well, definitely yes, as when teachers use activities that make learning engaging and fun, students are more willing to participate and take risks. Without doubt, entertaining teaching style is one of the most efficient and loved by students as it engages them in the learning process, fosters feelings of enthusiasm towards the subject matter and helps them create social connections with their peers giving them a reason to work and laugh together. What is more, enjoyable lessons help children retain their attention better, which as a result, leads to a better retention of information. So yeah, teacher, undoubtedly, should make lessons fun if they really want their students to memorize the material.

Q6- What kind of people are good at teaching?

Q7- What qualities should teachers have?

ANS- Well, I guess, first of all, knowledgeable and competent as it's really important for a good teacher to be able to answer all students' questions accurately and lay a good foundation for mastering the subject. I also think people good at teaching are imaginative and innovative, I mean able to break monotony as well as get students excited to learn the subject and take lively participations in the class. What else? Oh, they are interactive, for sure, doing their best to develop students' creative self-expression and communicative skills, and, of course, motivating to spark students to use their knowledge whenever possible.
