43.New and old things, toys

Q.1 Why do all children like toys?

Ans-Well, I think kids like toys, first of all, because toys make play fun and entertaining. For example, a simple toy can keep a child busy for hours while they explore and experiment. Toys also help children learn new skills, like building, problem-solving, or even social skills if they play with friends. Toys spark kids' imagination and creativity and let them make up their own stories or games. Some toys can even give children a sense of comfort, especially if it's a favourite doll or stuffed animal. And of course, toys often reflect a child's interests or personality, which makes kids more attached to them. Overall, toys are just a natural way for children to have fun, learn, and feel secure at the same time.

Q.2 Do you think it's good for a child to take his or her favourite toy with them all the time?

Ans-Well, I think it can be a good idea for a child to always take their favourite toy with them. Favourite toys give children comfort and security, especially in new or unfamiliar situations. I've noticed that having a toy nearby can help a child feel less anxious and more confident. It can also make things like travelling or waiting in queues a lot easier, because they have something familiar to focus on. Also, favourite toys can be a real source of emotional support, almost like a little friend. And of course, children usually feel happier when they have something they love with them. I think it's a good thing, as long as it doesn't turn into a distraction.

Q. 3 Do you think that keeping old things in a family is a great way to connect with the past?

Q.4 Why do grown-ups hate to throw away old things?

Ans-Oh yeah, it definitely is as family heirlooms bring past generations into the present and preserve family history and history in general for future generations. Also, they provide insight into the lives of ancestors and a richer understanding of family values, beliefs and traditions. It seems as if they bring family memories to life and this way form a bridge between family past and family future. So, there is no doubt that family heirlooms are a perfect way to connect the present and even the future with the past.

Q.5 How have people's shopping habits changed in recent decades?

Q.6 How has the way people buy things changed?

Ans-You know, shopping habits have changed really a lot over the past years. The biggest thing is that online shopping has become really popular. It's just so much easier to buy stuff from your couch these days. No more standing in long lines or carrying heavy bags around. Plus, smartphones and apps make it super convenient. Like, you can scroll through things and buy stuff anywhere, even while you're waiting for the bus or something. Another thing I've noticed is people care a lot more about eco-friendly and sustainable products now. Even if something costs a bit more, they want to support brands that don't harm the planet. So yeah, shopping now isn't just about grabbing whatever's cheap or fast. People think more about what they buy.

Q. 7How do shops attract customers?

Q. 8 What makes people buy new things?

Ans-Well, nowadays shops try to attract customers by having a strong online presence, regularly updating their social media accounts and store's website. They also appeal to customers by having sales and adding a bit of urgency to their offers, I mean using a strong call to action such as 'Be quick' and 'Buy now'. For making visitors buy when they are already inside the shop, shop managers organise an effective store layout, make customers feel valued and appreciated and offer points or rewards to attract repeat business.
