I've got a school friend, but we lost touch when we finished school. And I should say we used to be really good friends, that's why I regretted falling out of contact with him. Recently, I decided to call him and invite him to go somewhere so that we can catch up with each other. He seemed to be glad to hear me. So we arranged a meeting at the restaurant the next day at 6 pm . Then on the day when we were supposed to meet, at the very last minute, he called me and said, 'Lets cancel, I can't make it. I have a fever and sore throat. 'He said its ok. Get well soon'. You know, its a normal situation. People get sick all the time. But I had already booked a table, and it was too late o cancel a reservation. So, I decided to go there anyway. When i came, I just froze, you know cause I saw my friend talking to some girl. It looked like they had a date. And he obviously didn't look sick at all. What's more he didn't look embarrassed. I was shocked. I just couldn't understand why he chose to lie to me and why he came to that very place.
