i. What do you think buildings will be like in the future?
I think the changes will boil down to just 3 things: height, usage of materials, and technology. First of all, I'm sure there will be more tall buildings in the future, and they will be even taller than the ones we have today. You know, the thing is, cities are getting crowded and the land in big cities is becoming hard to find and expensive,. Taller buildings can help with this because they don't need a lot of space on the ground but can have many homes inside. This means more people can live in a small area. It will also make housing cheaper and will be good for builders because they will be able to make more money from tall buildings. Secondly, in the future, buildings might use materials that don't harm the environment. For example, future buildings could be made of recycled materials or use solar panels to create their own energy. Finally, buildings could become 'smart', meaning they will have technology that makes them more comfortable to live in. For instance, lights and temperature could change automatically to make sure people are always comfortable.
ii. What would people normally consider when they rent or buy a house or an apartment?
When people rent or buy a house or an apartment, they usually think about a few important things. First, they consider the location. They want to know if it's close to their work, school, or places they visit often, Second, they look at the price to make sure it's something they can afford. The size of the place is also important. Some people need more space, while others prefer smaller places. They also think about the number of rooms, like bedrooms and bathrooms, to see if it fits their needs. The condition of the house or apartment matters too. People want to know if it's clean and in good shape or if it needs repairs. Safety is another factor, as people want to live in a safe area. Lastly, the neighborhood and any extra facilities like parking or a garden, can make a big difference. For example, if there is a person with disabilities, they might need a place with ramps, wider doors, or other special features.
