47.Working abroad, travelling
Q.1 Why do people like travelling?
Ans-Well, I think people like travelling because it helps them escape from their daily routine. When life feels repetitive and stressful, travelling gives people a break and makes them feel refreshed. Even a short weekend trip can completely change their mood. Another reason is that it allows them to explore new cultures. Travelling gives people the opportunity to experience traditions, languages, and lifestyles that are different from their own. This not only makes the journey exciting but also helps them become more open-minded. That's why travelling is such an important part of modern life.
Q.2 What jobs can people do abroad for a short period of time?
Ans-First of all, people can do a variety of seasonal jobs many of which don't require qualifications. In the summertime, they can work as entertainers, lifeguards at a camp or at a holiday resort. Also, they can work as fruit pickers on a farm. As far as I know, this sport-term job is particularly popular with people in my country nowadays. In the winter, people can work as ski instructors or lift operators at a winter resort. They can also work as guest hosts and cleaners. Oh, I can't help mentioning the job of a cruise ship steward or stewardess. I know that many people leave their permanent jobs for a contract position on a cruise ship. Also, being an au pair is hugely popular with international students 'cause it's a great way to travel the world, make new friends, learn a foreign language and get paid.
Q.3 Is it good that now people have an opportunity to work abroad?
Ans-I think working abroad is really important for my career growth because it's a perfect way to improve my existing skills and learn new ones, build confidence and self-reliance and enhance my CV. Moreover, it's a great chance to learn new working styles, improve communication and language skills, gain new qualifications, develop independence and personality and, what is of primary importance, build international networks.
