Ans- I've really liked elephants ever since I saw them for the first time on my trip to Thailand. In books and cartoons they always look cute and cuddly, but when you meet a real one, the first thing you feel is just awe. We went to an Elephant Park to have a ride, and that's when I realized how huge they actually are. Without the wooden stairs we would never have been able to climb onto this massive creature. During the ride I had enough time to look at it more closely. Of course, the trunk is the most fascinating feature... it's like a nose and a lip at the same time, and it looks pretty weird. Other than that, the body itself isn't so unusual: four legs, thick wrinkled skin, a big head with large ears, tusks, and a long tail. Baby elephants are different, though. They have soft little hairs all over their bodies, which is kind of cute. What really makes me love elephants is how funny they can be. The way they suck up water or grab bananas with their trunks is just hilarious. And they're also very sociable. When they meet, they hug each other with their trunks, almost like people. what really fascinates me is that elephants have so many interesting behavior patterns, and I'd love to understand how these are formed and what influences them. For example, how they communicate, how they look after their calves, how they form groups, or even how they remember places. One of the most striking things I've read is that on the anniversary of a loved one's death, elephants return to the exact spot to mourn. I still wonder how they can remember this. And the more I learn, the more curious I get. Of course, even though elephants look amazing, they can also be dangerous. If they feel cornered, they might attack fiercely. But that's exactly why I want to keep learning more about them.
