i. In your country, when people visit other people in their homes, do they usually bring a gift?
Well, it mainly depends on the reason for their visit. If they just pop round to their neighbor, relative or friend in order to give or take a key, a book or something else, of course, they generally don't bring any gift with them. But if they are invited for a dinner party or for just watching some film together, they definitely bring some gift with them as a friendly gesture or a polite 'thank you'. These can be flowers, a pie or a fruit basket for a hostess, a case of beer and some snacks for a host. These can also be household items like coasters, storage jars, candles or napkin rings. Oh, I nearly forgot to mention that people in my country often come for a visit with a bottle of wine and then crush it together with the hosts. So, yes, my compatriots usually pay visits bringing some pleasant things with them.
ii. Is it important to have a meal together with your family?
Well, definitely yes. would even say family meals are vital for present-day families as they feed each family member not only physically but also emotionally helping them handle the stresses of daily life and the hassles of day-to-day existence. What's more, they provide children with the sense of security and togetherness, which has positive effects on child development and self-esteem. One more positive feature of family dinners I can mention is promoting more sensible eating habits as eating together with kids lets _parents influence what they eat and provide a model for children to carry with them into adulthood. 0h, I nearly forgot to mention one more advantage family meals provide the opportunity for conversation letting relatives find out what's going on in each person's life, review the day that's passed and plan for the day that's coming.
