54.Intelligence
Q.1 How do children become smart at school?
Ans-Well, I think children become smart at school when they actively participate in lessons, because asking and answering questions helps them understand better. For example, a child who speaks up in class often remembers things more easily. Another important point is that reading widely helps, because exposure to different ideas expands their thinking. Stories, science articles, or even comics can teach new words and concepts. I'd also say that working on projects in groups helps, because collaboration teaches problem-solving and new perspectives. When kids share ideas with classmates, they often learn things they would never think of alone. Of course, teachers' encouragement is also key... confident children are more willing to try and explore. So intelligence at school grows not just from studying hard, but from being curious and active, I think.
Q.2 Why are some people well-rounded and others only good at one thing?
Ans-Oh, I think some people are well-rounded because they try different activities, which helps them develop multiple skills. They don't limit themselves to just one area. Another reason is that they grow up in supportive environments that encourage exploration. When parents or teachers support curiosity, children feel safe to experiment. By contrast, some people are only good at one thing because they focus deeply on one subject and spend most of their time practising it. They enjoy seeing clear progress in one area. So in many cases, it's not about ability, but about choices, environment, and focus.
Q.3 Are people born clever or need to learn to be clever?
Q.4 Why are some children more intelligent than others?
Ans-Well, I believe the latter is true as I am sure that intelligence is largely based on people's upbringing rather than inherited traits. There is no doubt that children are born with some genetic predispositions but the brain is a physical organ, and like other organs and muscles in the body it can be trained to be fitter and more efficient, which proves that intelligence is something malleable that changes over time and can grow especially through hard work and constant practice.
Q.5 Do you think society needs people with different types of intelligence?
Q.6 Does modern society need talents of all kinds?
Ans-Absolutely. Each person has dominant forms of intelligence. And each person with a particular type of intelligence has a particular talent or ability. That's why we're not all naturally skilled at the same things. Some of us are more athletic and have better coordination. Some pick up on language and words faster, while others are good with numbers and visualizing patterns. This means that people with different types of intelligence will perform different jobs, which is crucial for the smooth functioning of society. And this is what makes daily life possible.Let's imagine all people have just one type of intelligence, say, spatial intelligence (this is the ability to think abstractly and in multiple dimensions). This is something required for fields such as architecture, graphic design, photography, interior design and aviation. So if all people had this type of intelligence, there would be lots of outstanding photographers and designers, but no highly-qualified doctors or teachers.
