65.Tall buildings

Q.1 What do you think buildings will be like in the future?

Ans-I think the changes will boil down to just 3 things: height, usage of materials, and technology. First of all, I'm sure there will be more tall buildings in the future, and they will be even taller than the ones we have today. You know, the thing is, cities are getting crowded, and the land in big cities is becoming hard to find and expensive. Taller buildings can help with this because they don't need a lot of space on the ground but can have many homes inside. This means more people can live in a small area. It will also make housing cheaper and will be good for builders because they will be able to make more money from tall buildings. Secondly, in the future, buildings might use materials that don't harm the environment. For example, future buildings could be made of recycled materials or use solar panels to create their own energy. Finally, buildings could become 'smart', meaning they will have technology that makes them more comfortable to live in.For instance, lights and temperature could change automatically to make sure people are always comfortable.

Q.2 Which do most people prefer, living in a bungalow or in a tall building?

Ans-Oh, I think many people prefer a bungalow, because it gives more privacy and space compared to a tall building. In a bungalow, people don't have to deal with noisy neighbors above or below them, and they can arrange their home exactly the way they like. Another important reason is that people enjoy having a garden or outdoor area when living in a bungalow. For example, families with children or pets often want a place where they can play outside safely. Of course, bungalows are not always easy to afford, especially in big cities, but for those who can, this lifestyle is very attractive. That's why many people would choose a bungalow if they had the option.

Q.3 Why are taller and taller building being constructed nowadays?

Ans-Well, I guess it's mostly connected with the fact that more and more cities around the world are getting overpopulated, which results in another fact that land is getting scarce and expensive particularly in big cities. So, tall buildings are a kind of a solution to a few problems connected with this overpopulation and land scarcity as they provide the opportunity to control urban sprawl with their relatively small footprint, add the density needed to help cure steep housing costs and let developers gain more rentable space making the structure economically viable at the same time. These are the main reasons, to my mind.
