Travelling
Q1.Why do some people prefer to travel in their own country rather than going abroad?
Ans:I think some people prefer to travel in their own country, first of all, because it's cheaper and saves money. Plane tickets and hotels in another country can be really expensive, so staying local is often more affordable. Another reason is that it makes people feel safer. When they are in their own country, they don't have to worry about language barriers or unfamiliar rules, which makes the journey more relaxing. It also means they can travel by their own car, which is more comfortable and gives them the freedom to stop wherever they want. Besides, local travel allows people to explore regions they might not know well and discover hidden gems close to home. Some also enjoy supporting local businesses and learning more about their own culture. For all these reasons, many people think that travelling within their country can be just as exciting as going abroad.
Q2.What problems arise when lots of people travel to work at the same time?
Ans:Oh, I think that the main problem which arises when people commute to work in the rush hour is peak-hour traffic congestion. All the other problems are the consequences of traffic jams, to my mind. But there are quite a few of them. For example, roadblocks usually lead to longer commuting and delays which may result in late arrival for employment, meetings and education as it's just impossible to forecast travel time accurately. It concerns both people using public transport and driving their own cars. As far as the problems for the latter are concerned, I'd also mention a higher chance of collisions due to tight spacing and constant stopping-and-going, and wasted fuel owing to increased idling, acceleration and braking. Well, and of course, I just can't help mentioning such problems as crowdedness, time wasting, noise pollution and stress caused by all the problems I've just mentioned.
Q3.Why do people like travelling?
Q4.Do people in your country like travelling abroad?
Ans:Well, I think people like travelling because it helps them escape from their daily routine. When life feels repetitive and stressful, travelling gives people a break and makes them feel refreshed. Even a short weekend trip can completely change their mood. Another reason is that it allows them to explore new cultures. Travelling gives people the opportunity to experience traditions, languages, and lifestyles that are different from their own. This not only makes the journey exciting but also helps them become more open-minded. That's why travelling is such an important part of modern life.
Q5.Why do people choose to travel or live abroad?
Q6.What are the benefits of travelling abroad?
Ans:I think the main reason is it's just super exciting. People want to experience a different culture, meet new people, and see the world. They want to explore new places, try different foods, and learn about other ways of life. For example, when you travel, you get to try food you've never had before, like street food in Thailand or fresh pasta in Italy. You can experience the local traditions, whether it's a festival in Brazil or a tea ceremony in Japan. When people choose to actually live abroad, it's a whole different level. They get to fully immerse themselves in a new culture, learn a new language, and get to know a completely different lifestyle. It could be something as simple as understanding how people spend their weekends in a new country, or as big as adapting to a different work culture or lifestyle that's more laid-back or more fast-paced than what they're used to. For many, it might be about seeking a change. Maybe they want a fresh start or are looking for a better quality of life, whether that's due to political reasons, a better healthcare system, or just a place that offers more opportunities. For example, someone might move to another country because the job market in their home country is tough, but in a new place, there are better career prospects. Or, someone might choose to live in a country with a stronger healthcare system, especially if they've had trouble accessing good healthcare where they live.
Q7.Who likes to travel more, older people or younger people?
Ans:I think older people like to travel more because, by the time they're older, they usually have more money and free time. A lot of them don't have the same family or work responsibilities, especially if their kids are grown up. They've spent years working hard, so traveling is a way for them to unwind and relax. They tend to take longer, slower trips where they can really enjoy the place without rushing around. Plus, many older people like to revisit spots they've been to before or visit places they've always dreamed of seeing, so it's not just about the adventure, but also about comfort and peace of mind.
Q8.Some people don't like to travel abroad. Why?
Ans:Well, I guess there are 3 main reasons for this. The first reason is financial.... I mean people don't like to travel to foreign countries just because they can't afford it.... It's too expensive for them and they need to sacrifice other things to be able to do it... So, they refuse from this option and just look for different ways how to get more bang for the buck inside their country. The second reason is they are lucky to live in the country of many beautiful and intereseting destinations, so they simply don't see the need to go anywhere else. These people prefer to visit wonderful places and sights inside their country's borders. And the third reason is that they just don't know any foreign language and don't have anybody speaking a foreign language they can travel with, which makes travelling abroad really challenging and stressful.
Q9.Do people prefer long trips or short trips?
Ans:Well, I think it depends on what they want from their trip or vacation. If they want to fully immerse in the place or places they visit, they definitely opt for longer trips. Such trips don't only let people gain more knowledge and experience but also give them more time to really unplug and refresh. What is more, they let people save money on lodging costs because the longer you stay in the hotel, the less money you pay for extra nights. But if people just want to quickly recharge the batteries and get back to routine, they choose shorter trips which are a quick way to relieve stress. This kind of trips gives people a chance to seize the moment and go on vacation whenever they want. Moreover, it takes less planning time, costs less, exposes travelers to more surroundings and makes them feel happier than on long trips because enjoyment wanes as people get accustomed to their holiday lifestyle.
