Making friends, meeting people
Q1.What do you think of making friends online?
Ans:Honestly, I think making friends online is pretty cool. I mean, you can meet people from all over the world without even leaving your room. It's also way easier to find people who like the same weird stuff as you, especially in online communities. I've got a couple of friends I met online, and we still keep in touch, even though we've never met in real life. But yeah, it's not always perfect. Sometimes you just don't know if the person is for real, like, are they actually who they say they are? That part freaks me out a bit. Still, as long as you're smart about it and don't share too much too soon, I think it's a great way to connect with people.
Q2.Do we benefit from having friends with different personalities?
Ans:Yes, we do benefit from having friends with different personalities because they offer new perspectives and help us see things differently. They challenge us to grow and step out of our comfort zone, which can be really good for personal development. I also think they bring balance into our lives. Like, if you're more serious, a fun, outgoing friend can really lift your mood. They help us learn how to adapt and be more understanding in different situations. On top of that, they teach us to appreciate diversity and not just stick to people who are like us. Sometimes they can support us in ways we wouldn't expect. All of that makes the friendship richer and more meaningful, in my opinion.
Q3.Would you only make friends with people who are similar to you?
Q4.Is it important to have the same interests and hobbies when making friends?
Ans:Well, of course, I wouldn't. What I think should be similar is values, all the rest can or even must be different. No two men are alike and it makes life really interesting. Maybe I can feel really comfortable with friends like me because we can do activities that all of us are interested in and they are more likely to understand my reactions and behaviour in some situations 'cause they would have it the same way, but what makes me really learn and grow is differences. Friends with a different background can give me a lot, for instance, knowledge and information about new things I am weak at, a different perspective of the world and even a chance to enjoy different lifestyles. By exchanging our ideas and experience, we can enrich each other and that's the main thing in friendship.
Q5.How and where do people in your country make friends these days?
Ans:Well, there are lots of opportunities to strike up a friendship with somebody who will walk through life together with you, sharing all your ups and downs, joys and pains. But, of course, it will take some doing to succeed. First of all, you need to spend more time around people. There is a huge number of different clubs and online communities with people who have common interests, so you can join those of them that appeal to you and find some mates there. Secondly, when you visit some social, cultural or professional events, always remember about making eye-contact and smiling at people, making small talk with them and maybe even asking those whom you like out for lunch or coffee. You should also get to know your friends' friends and, sure thing, accept invitations to go out whenever you get them.
Q6.In what situations would people be willing to get to know new people?
Ans:There are many situations in which people may be willing to get to know new people. Some of these situations include social events, shared interests, travel, work or school, volunteer work, dating, and personal growth. When people attend social events, such as parties or networking events, they may be more open to engaging in conversation with strangers. Likewise, when people have shared interests, such as a hobby or profession, they may be more likely to connect with others who share those interests. Travel can also provide opportunities to meet new people, as can work or school environments. Additionally, volunteering for a cause can create opportunities to meet people from diverse backgrounds and create meaningful connections. For those who are single and looking for a romantic partner, dating can be a way to get to know new people. Finally, people may seek out personal growth opportunities to connect with others who are on a similar journey. Overall may be more willing to form new connectic in situations where they feel comfortable, have common interests or goals, or are seeking out new experiences.
Q7.Is it easy to find real friends on a social networking website?
Ans:Well, I'd say it is as it is common interests and passions that bring people together. So it doesn't really matter where one makes friends. Though, we should always remember that it's quite easy to find real friends but takes a lot of work to keep them.
